Secrets of FrontierVille

One of the ways in which SQPN reaches out to new audiences is by producing shows that build bridges between the world of popular culture and the world of faith. One of the fastest growing industries is that of online digital entertainment, and SQPN has a number of shows that take movies and video games as a starting point for discussion and community building.

In addition to our already popular show about FarmVille – an online game played by 70-80 million people, SQPN launches another show around the popular game FrontierVille. In FrontierVille, the player is a settler who has to cultivate his homestead so he or she can start a family and build a town.

The Secrets of FrontierVille combines tips and strategies for players with discussions about the history and culture of these early American settlers. The new show is hosted by an international panel, consisting of Fr. Roderick (Netherlands), Deborah Schaben (Florida), Ariadna Quijano (Mexico) and Jim Beegley (Pennsylvania). The show also has a presence on Facebook, where listeners can exchange tips and give feedback.
