SQPN, thanks for posting this on your website. I just found the post today and it really helps the mission of http://www.OneBillionStories.com!

I love the site and your mission, perhaps we could discuss dreams some time, especially with regards to video production.

started out laughing…(“is this pew taken??”) :) and ended up all emotional, even shedding a tear or two. this song reflects how God led me to my sweet husband and what a blessing it is to share my faith with him. for those waiting and praying for a godly husband/wife, keep close to God and believe!!
“But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides.” -Matt 6:33

    Catholic Car Wash

Creating a video podcast can be simpler than you might think. What you need is a creative idea, some Catholic content, a digital video recorder, a car and a car wash. At least, that’s all Jeff Geerling needs to produce his ‘Catholic Car Wash’!

Click this link to check it out: Catholic Car Wash

Hey! Thanks for posting the link… I didn’t even think people were following the podcast, but I guess someone heard about it :D

It started out mostly as a test for using HTML5 video embedding techniques, but I’ve heard from a few people that the videos are actually pretty helpful—especially with the description with links to more info.

I’ll have another episode in a week or so regarding gestures in liturgy!

SQPN & friends Meet Up in Boston!

Lisa Hendey and Pat Gohn will be hosting an SQPN & friends meet up in Boston this Sunday! Join Lisa and Pat as well as fellow friends and Catholic new media enthusiasts at John Harvard’s in Cambridge on Sunday, Oct. 17 from 2:30 – 4:30 pm.

The location is the same one we used for the successful Boston meet up with Cliff Ravenscraft and Fr. Roderick after the Catholic New Media Celebration. It’s a great occasion to connect with the rest of the SQPN community!

Let us  know in the comments if you are coming too. And if you want to organize a meet-up in your own area, let us know as well, so we can promote it!

Kevin, thanks for checking in and what a good Godfather you are! This is the only event we have planned for now, but if it goes well then I will plan them regularly for whenever I visit Boston. I do plan to be back there in the Spring. If people attend this one and we have a good response, we’ll definitely plan another. I just thought it would be fun to have an informal gathering since I’m in the area! Thanks to Fr. Roderick for helping us to spread the word!

      This is a great idea.
Will this be a regular event?

Sigh… Unfortunately, this conflicts with god daughter’s 4th birthday celebration.

    Faith in Glee

Catholic blogger Kristan Doerfler from the Emmaus Road Blog wrote an interesting article about faith in one of the latest episodes of Glee.

In the past, “the closest “Glee” got to discussing faith was poking fun at the Celibacy Club”, writes Kristan. “Tonight’s episode, “Grilled Cheesus” dove into the discussion of faith head-on.”

I am a “Glee” fan and really enjoyed this episode. I like the “grilled cheesus” episode. It was interesting to see the kids were all trying to figure out what they believed.
