The main website of the Vatican has been restyled on the Solemnity of Pentecost. While the portal retains its characteristic ‘parchment’ look, the menu has been restyled and modernized.

The new layout of the page makes it easier to access the various writings of pope Benedict XVI, and the links pertaining to the Vatican city state have been moved to the right hand side of the page.

The menus on the underlying pages also have been slightly modernized.

The restyling of the website precedes the highly anticipated launch of the Vatican news portal NEWS.va. That website is “coming soon” – visitors can leave their email address on the site to be notified when NEWS.va goes live.
