Bread – The Staff of Life

Jeff Young takes us on a virtual tour of a typical dinner table in Jesus’ time.  No PBJ, but we discover that bread was a very important part of meals. It was often used in place of utensils!

Jeff notes that not all bread is alike, and gives us a little insight into its role in fasting. Don’t miss this episode of The Catholic Foodie . You’ll get a great recipe for whole wheat bread, and the lovely Sarah Reinhard finds Mary in some…bacon grease?

    Listen to episode 120 here.

    Making Peace with Our Bodies

Too often we let others — particularly those in the media — define our self-worth. Body image, especially, is affected. Even when we think we know better. We forget that we are made in the image of our Creator.

Kate Wicker joins Pat Gohn at Among Women to discuss her new book, Weightless: Making Peace with Your Body.
