This year, the Catholic New Media Conference will be in Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas, from August 29-31. The conference’s main theme is “Marketing Your Message”.
The Internet can be a noisy place! How can we as Catholics use the Internet better for the New Evangelization?
Various speakers will give their thoughts using different angles. Keynote speakers will be Jennifer Fulwiler (Conversion Diary), Cliff Ravenscraft (Podcast Answer Man), Elizabeth Scalia (The Anchoress), Sarah Reinhard (Snoring Scholar) and many more.
Brandon Vogt is a convert to the Catholic faith who entered the Church in 2008 and one of the speakers at the Catholic New Media Conference. He is married and father of three small children. His big passion is sharing the joys of being Catholic online. He gives tips on social communications at his blog, The Thin Veil. He’s also the author of ”The Church and New Media: Blogging Converts, Online Activists, and Bishops Who Tweet”. He has appeared in many media outlets defending the Catholic stance on various issues.
When googling on Christian themes, catholic answers are hard to find, often Mormon, Protestant and even Atheist points of view are among the first search results. What makes them so successful?
On Thursday afternoon, August 30th, Brandon will share his thoughts on this subject with us. His keynote is entitled “Telling the Catholic Story: What Mormons, Protestants, and Atheists Can Teach Us About Evangelizing Online.”
