In Between Sundays #25 – Rosary Army and More!

We’ve made it to episode number twenty five! Join us for a packed show as we talk discuss some new stuff going on over at the Rosary Army apostolate, a Help I’m Fallen segment about getting distracted during church and we announce the winners of out t-shirt contest!

To start of the show we have a few “What’s my lines”. Then we share some news about SQPN being featured in the Envoy Magazine. Next, Maria Johnson joins us to tells us all about Rosary Army; an amazing Catholic organization that evangelizes the faith through promotion of the Rosary prayer. Their motto; Make them. Pray them. In Between Sundays #23 – Googling God

Have you ever heard the phrase “Googling God?” If that sounds familiar you might know our guest: Mike Hayes. His book, Googling God talks about how people in their 20s and 30s identify with religion. During our interview with him, we find out more about how young adults today relate to their faith.

Michael St. Pierre is the host of a wonderful blog entitled The Daily Saint, where he works to promote the spirituality of work. Mike is the president of Morris Catholic High School in Denville, New Jersey. Previously, he served as the Dean of Students at Oratory Preparatory School and was the lead campus minister at two other Catholic high schools. He is a graduate of Catholic University of America (B.A.) and Seton Hall University (M.A. Theology, M.A. Educational Leadership). His articles have appeared in numerous publications, and he has been a featured speaker at the Education Law Institute, the National Catholic Education Association Convention as well as numerous retreats.

When you were in school did you ever do anything stupid? In the “Help I’m Fallen” segment, we share some feedback from our listeners about their embarrassing school stories. In Between Sundays #20 – Popple Power Pack

In this episode, we have two special guests: Dan and Kyle from Popple, one of our favorite bands. They are working on releasing a new CD, which has been unnamed until now. On the show, they reveal the new name and have an excerpt of a song from the CD to play for us. In the interview, we get the opportunity to ask them a number of questions including “What’s up with the Contra code in your song?”

To start off, we have a lot of news. Did you know that they have a special mass just for judges? It’s called a red mass and one was recently celebrated for the six Catholic judges that sit on the Supreme court. We talk about how Google is celebrating the 57th anniversary of the bar code by changing their logo and what to do if you are a Linux lover and also have a baby. (Hint: someone made a youtube video.)
