SQPN Begins Its 2012 Giving Campaign
At the start of Advent, the Star Quest Production Network renews its annual appeal to people to help bring together the funds necessary to continue its mission of evangelization and education via new media.
Thanks to last year’s donations, SQPN has been able to grow its audience considerably and to have a real impact on the way the Catholic Church uses new media.
In October, SQPN organized the annual Catholic New Media Conference, which brought together an enthusiastic audience of Catholic communicators – and added an extra day of training and workshops to the program. We were honored to welcome Vatican Radio’s director Sean-Patrick Lovett, Bishop Christopher Coyne and Archbishop Joseph Naumann.
Apple was so impressed by the consistent quality of the SQPN podcast line-up, that they offered SQPN its own catalogue page in the iTunes Store. Combined with very positive reviews of our shows, this brought an additional audience in contact with our message.
Also, SQPN was invited to take part in the first ever Vatican Bloggers Meeting, and helped the Vatican stream the event to a world wide audience.
The SQPN websites have been upgraded to offer a more attractive introduction to the various programs. The SQPN logo was redesigned to strengthen brand recognition in various media.
New shows brought thousands of new listeners into contact with the SQPN community, and we have received many testimonials about how this has impacted their lives.
A new Social Media strategy has resulted in a strong presence of SQPN on Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus, and helped form and strengthen many relationships between members of the SQPN community.
SQPN has provided countless hours of live streaming each week, as well as streaming coverage of the Catholic New Media Conference in Kansas City. The chatroom provides the community with a daily meeting space to chat and to share.
For many people all around the world, SQPN is a daily source of inspiration, friendship and encouragement. We can only do this thanks to your generous financial support.
In 2012, we need $140,000 to continue operations and to realize our plans to serve our worldwide community and the Church even better.
The world is looking for answers, for guidance, for friendship and community.
