Amazon MGM cancelled Martin Gero’s new series on June 2, 2026 — after a November 2025 greenlight, a twenty-week writers’ room, and pre-production already underway in the UK. So Secrets of Stargate episode 265 became an Irish-style wake before it became a retrospective.

Mallozzi publicly pushed back on Amazon’s stated rationale, disputing the claim that the show would only appeal to core fans.
