The “official” age (at this time anyway) for Luke and Leia’s age in A New Hope is 19. Carrie was 20 in 1977 and Mark was 25. I think they would have been 19 and 24 when filming began.
Alec Guinness was 62 in 1977, same age as Mark is now.
Harrison is 71 – 8 years older than Peter Cushing was in 1977 and 9 years older than Guinness! Only 11 years younger than Christopher Lee was when EP3 came out.
