Vatican II In A Year

Have you ever wondered what the Second Vatican Council actually said? Did you ever want to know more about what the Church taught in its documents? Are you excited that 2025 is the 60th anniversary of the end of Vatican II?

Join Fr. Matthew Schneider as you delve into the documents of Vatican II, reading all of the documents, day by day, over the course of one full year. Father will read the text of each document in digestible daily portions and provide a brief commentary to help you understand their meaning.

Fr. Schneider is a priest of the Legionaries of Christ and a theology professor at St. Patrick’s Seminary near San Francisco, and his goal is to help you understand what the world’s bishops had to say to address the modern world through the council.

The podcast will being with its first episode on January 1, 2025 and most days the episodes will be brief, 8 to 15 minutes, although each document will start with an interview with an expert and those will be a bit longer. While the podcast is arrange to publish daily, of course you can listen at any pace you like and even after 2025 is over, the podcast will be available.
